KEEPING GRADUATION SAFE
During this time of added safety measures due to Covid-19, it is of utmost importance that we make graduation a safe experience that adheres to guidelines of social distancing. For the safety of your own family and all others involved, please remember the following:
Each graduate will be allowed to attend the graduation ceremony in one car or truck. For health reasons, the car should not be a convertible or an oversized vehicle (no limousines, vans, party buses, large tire trucks, etc.). There will be no walk-ins, and viewing from the sidewalks will be prohibited.
There will only be one car/vehicle per graduate admitted to the graduation ceremony.
Each graduate may have the number of family members in his/her car that equals the number of factory installed seat belts within the vehicle.
Graduates will be allowed to decorate his/her car within reason.
All graduates will remain in his/her car before, during and after the entire ceremony. This will be strictly enforced. Not observing this expectation may place this entire process in jeopardy.
All LCCS Student Code of Conduct expectations and polices will be strictly enforced.
Students are encouraged to share his/her graduation experience via social media. Please use #LCCSClassof2020 when tagging pictures.

MEMORIAL FOR JUAN M.
In light of the recent loss felt by our La Causa Charter School community, it is important to allow staff, students, and families the opportunity to come together in mourning.
Near the end of the graduation route, a temporary memorial will be placed in honor of Juan's memory. A box for letters to Juan or his family will be below Juan's picture. Students may leave letters (in unsealed envelopes) offering their memories, sympathies, and other expressions of feelings over the loss of their classmate. These will be given to Juan's family. When your vehicle arrives at this location, letters can be placed in the box.
This is a difficult time for everyone. Be kind with yourself and patient and kind to others, as people experience this sad news in very different ways.
